Emrul Kayes

Emrul Kayes is a Backend Software Engineer who builds the systems behind ERI's sustainability and resource tracking products. He has over four years of experience with NestJS, Node.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.

His work turns complex environmental accounting into software that runs at scale. He rebuilt the real-time GHG, energy, and footprint calculation engine on Clean Architecture principles, replacing batch jobs with instant results, and delivers footprint modules used by factories across Bangladesh, Pakistan, and India.

Alongside product work, he strengthens the platform itself through database replication, caching, load balancing, secure payment integrations, and end-to-end monitoring with Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki, ensuring issues are detected before they reach users. He holds a BSc in Computer Science and Engineering and writes at kayes.dev.
