Shubhra Chanda

Shubhra Chanda is a Sustainability and Decarbonization Specialist with over a decade of experience driving environmental strategies across the textile and garment sectors. He currently serves as the Head of Decarbonization at Engineering Resources International (ERI) Ltd., leading large-scale international initiatives spanning Bangladesh, India, and Pakistan.

His core expertise centers on designing and implementing comprehensive carbon-reduction roadmaps, energy efficiency interventions, chemical management frameworks, and water treatment solutions. Over the past two years, he has technically supported over 20 factories in establishing Corporate and SME Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) near-term and Net-Zero targets, while directly leading more than 30 target validation calls with the SBTi technical team. Certified by SREDA, UNFCCC, , he has also executed over 200 industrial energy audits to operationalize GHG mitigation strategies.

A skilled technical trainer and consultant, Shubhra has delivered Climate Action and Sustainability Data Management programs to over 180 factories. He combines a strong academic foundation in Textile Engineering and Business Administration with proven project management skills to foster sustainable operational practices.
