Cotton Processing Facility, Bangladesh
Conventional cotton fabric pretreatment and dyeing require high temperatures (up to 98°C) and multiple soaping/scouring baths. This demands heavy steam consumption from natural gas boilers and extracts significant amounts of groundwater, raising both costs and greenhouse gas emissions.
The facility implemented Fibre-52 cotton treatment technology, a patented bio-based chemical solution. By optimizing pretreatment and soaping temperatures down to 75°C and reducing the liquor ratio to 1:6, the facility achieved rapid bleaching and dyeing, saving time, heat energy, and water.
Cotton fabric loaded into 600 kg dyeing vessel
Quest, Assist, and Boost chemicals added in 1:6 liquor bath
Optimized heating process replaces 98°C boiling
Shade consistency and hand-feel certified
Reductions in pretreatment and soaping stages down to 75°C from 98°C.
Shortened cycle times by 7.08% (saving 32 minutes per batch).
Bio-based chemistry replaces harsh bleaching agents and reduces dye consumption by 7%.
Successfully met Jack & Jones and other brand QC standards for shade consistency and hand-feel.
