Denim Processing Facility, Bangladesh
Traditional garment washing cycles separate enzyme washing (fabric softening) and bleaching (color fading) into separate stages. This requires draining the bath, rinsing, refilling, reheating, and adding fresh chemicals, leading to excessive water, energy, and time waste.
Optimized the chemical recipe to combine enzyme treatment and bleach into a single bath. By managing bath pH, temp (75°C), and chemical synergy, the facility eliminated 3 wash/rinse cycles per batch. Fabric QC approved shade consistency, hand-feel, and strength.
Garments pre-washed to prepare fabric
Enzyme and bleach added together in 1:6 bath
Intermediate rinses and baths skipped
Finished garments extracted and dried
Achieving water and electricity savings purely through chemical recipe engineering without buying new hardware.
Payback is instant as savings start on day one of operation.
Eliminating three washing and rinsing steps increases daily machine capacity by 20%.
Integrated with a low liquor ratio of 1:6, compounding total water savings.
